President Ford has nominated Stephen Hess, editor-in-chief of the Republican Party’s platform for the current Presidential campaign, to be a public member of the U.S. delegation to the UN. Hess, a member of the American Jewish Committee’s National Advisory Board and a member of the Washington Hebrew Congregation, was principal assistant to Daniel P. Moynihan when the latter was assistant to the President for urban affairs.
