Alvin B. Rubin, noted Jewish attorney of Baton Rouge, La., was nominated by President Johnson to be United States District Judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Born in Alexandria, La., in 1920, he received his law degree from Louisiana State University where he later lectured on law as a visiting professor. He is a member of the national council of the Joint Distribution Committee, B’nai B’rith and other Jewish and non-Jewish philanthropic and civic organizations.
