President Johnson Names Blaustein to Commission on Marine Science

Jacob Blaustein of Maryland, national Jewish communal leader, is one of 15 men named by President Johnson to a commission to work out plans to develop the resources of the oceans.

The Commission on Marine Science, Engineering and Resources was authorized by Congress in 1966 to develop and coordinate “a long-range program in marine science for benefit of mankind.” Mr. Blaustein is a former United States delegate to the United Nations.
