President Luis Alberto Monge of Costa Rica said here that the return of the Costa Rican Embassy to Jerusalem was a “Principled act of a sovereign democratic country” and that it was consistent with his nation’s long term policy toward the State of Israel. In a meeting last Friday with a delegation of representatives from the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith and the American Jewish Committee, Monge also condemned the three Arab countries — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates — who broke relations with his country.
