Dr. Elmer Hess, president of the American Medical Association, will visit Israel in July to survey the medical installations maintained there by Hadassah, it was announced today by Mrs Rebecca Shulman, national president of Hadassah.
Dr. Hess, a noted urologist, has discussed his forthcoming trip to Israel under Hadassah auspices with President Eisenhower and will carry a personal letter from the President to Premier David Ben Gurion of Israel, Both Dr. Hess and Rabbi Abraham B. Shoulson, spiritual leader of the Erie Jewish Center, who will accompany him, will travel with State Department status.
