An attack on Israel was made today by President Habib Bourguiba, of Tunisia, who previously had voiced a call for moderation in dealing with Israel. His new expressions were viewed here as a response to sharp Arab attacks against him for allegedly being “soft” on Israel.

Today Bourguiba told a joint session of the Turkish Parliament that the Arabs of Palestine were “victims of injustice” and that their plight “should not be dragged on any more.” He said Israel threatens peace over the Jordan water diversion issue.
