Presidential candidate Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) said the “road map” toward Israeli-Palestinian peace will not work. While acknowledging that President Bush’s efforts in the Middle East are “a step in the right direction,” Lieberman told JTA that “it’s clear there are different understandings of the road map and its implications” and that the Bush administration will need to do more work to keep the parties on the same page.
