Chief Rabbi Abraham Kook, who is to take the witness stand before the Inquiry Commission any day now, is being subjected to strong pressure to testify publicly, although he is entitled, like the Grand Mufti, to have the Commission come to his home. It is understood that the Zionists’ Executive strongly favors a public appearance by Rabbi Kook. S. S. Ussishkin, head of the Jewish National Fund, and others, however, are trying to persuade the venerable Rabbi to stand on his dignity.
