A new edition of a Catholic book containing vicious accusations against the Jews was strongly denounced by Oratorian Father Pierre Dabosville in the May edition of the newspaper “Le Droit de Vivre” (The Right To Live).
The book by Father Arminjon, “Fin du Monde Present et Mysteres de la Vie Future” (The End of the Present World and Mysteries of Future Life) re-issued by the central office of the Carmelite Order in Lisieux, Normandy, contains “scandalous acquisitions against the Jews.” Dabosville said.
He added: “This re-edition enables us to put our finger on the persistence of the incredible triviality. I would say the pernicious triviality, of Christian conscience when the Jewish people, its history, its hopes are at stake. Auschwitz should have at least buried Father Arminjon, especially at the Lisieux Carmelite Order.”
The newspaper, Le Monde, which yesterday reported the publication of the book, asked why it had been published again since it did nothing but hurt the Jews and humiliate the Christians who took Vatican Two seriously.
