Prime Minister Nehru received B’nai B’rith President Label A. Katz for a 20-minute audience today.
Mr. Katz said later that they had discussed a number of matters relating to world peace and “several issues of particular interest to the Jewish community.” Among these was the question of Middle East stability, the B’nai B’rith president said. Mr. Katz was en route to Australia to induct a B’nai B’rith district there.
(Prior to his departure from Israel, where he attended the World Conference on Jewish Education, Mr. Katz announced in Jerusalem yesterday that the B’nai B’rith will sponsor the construction of a $150,000 library in the Desert Education Institute to be established at Sde Boker settlement, the Negov home of Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. He said the library will have a capacity of 100,000 volumes.)
