Prince Lowenstein, one of Germany’s most active anti-Nazis, was to arrive in the country Saturday on the S. S. President Harding for a short lecture tour. A leading figure in the Catholic Center Party, he was the founder and head of the Vortrup Schwartz-Rot-Gold, youth organization in the Republican Reichsbanner in Germany.

Prince Lowenstein, who many believe would succeed Hitler if National Socialism were to collapse, was publisher and editor of Das Reich, a weekly newspaper published in Saarbruecken. He is the author of “The Tragedy of a Nation, Germany, 1918-34” and of “After Hitler’s Fall, Germany’s Coming Reich” as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles.
