The Prince of Wales was the guest last night of the Jewish Boys and Girls Settlement in the East Eend. The settlement is conducted by By Basil Henriques.
The Prince inspected the cups won by the settlement clubs and recalled his recent presentation of the boxing cup to the London and Manchester battalions of the Jewish Lads’ Brigade.
The Prince visited the settlement synagogue. He inspected the war memorial tabler. The Prince heard the members debate and witnessed their training in boxing in the gymnasium. He sat around the fire in the boyscouts den. On leaving the settlement, the Prince expressed himself highly pleased with his reception. A thousand boys and girls, members of the settlement, cheered him when he left.
