Princess Margaret and her husband Lord Snowdon paid a visit this weekend to Maccabi House on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the British Maccabi sports organization. The Princess, who was presented with a memento by the members of the club, was welcomed by Pierre Gildesgame, chairman of the World Maccabi.
The Princess and Lord Snowdon witnessed an exhibition of the club’s activities and dined at Maccabi House with members of the Committee and club members. Later they attended a pageant depicting the history of Maccabi. Also present were Councillor and Mrs. Harold West, Mayor of Hampstead. During the week, Home Secretary Henry Prooke is scheduled to attend ceremonies at Maccabi House.
