— Prisoner of Conscience Boris Kalendariov has been released from the Elista labor camp, it was reported Tuesday by the National Conference on Soviet Jewry. He has returned to his parent’s home in Leningrad and is applying for a residency permit. Kalendariov, 23, was arrested March 8, 1979 and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment on May 14, 1979 on charges of “draft evasion”. He will reapply for permission to emigrate from the Soviet Union to join his sister in Israel.
