A movement in support of the Falashas of Abyssinia is being started throughout Italy and pro-Falasha Committees are being organized in all cities.
The initiative for the movement has come from Emanuele Taamrat the Director of the Jewish school at Edis Abeba in Abyssinia, who has written to the Jewish communities in Italy, appealing to them to help raise the standard of education among the black Jews of Abyssinia, whose number is estimated at about 50,000.
