A group of some 40 persons last night turned out for a meeting of the Provisional Committee to Aid Germany at Brits, a town situated some 50 miles northwest of Praetoria, capital of the province of Transvaal.

The group adopted a resolution calling for the release of Nazi war criminals still imprisoned in Germany. It also called for the South African Government to contribute to the support of the families of the imprisoned Nazis and to accept “volks-deutsche” driven out of Eastern Europe. These “desirable” immigrants, the resolution said, would help solve the “color, Communist, food and erosion problems.” One of the featured speakers at the meeting was Erich Holm, a pro-Nazi who broadcast from Germany during the war.
