The Fire Department is investigating what it calls three “suspicious” fires early this morning at Congregation Chovevei Torah (Orthodox) in Brooklyn, a few blocks from the Lubavitcher center on Eastern Parkway. Prayer books, a prayer shawl and curtains were damaged and a window was broken. The synagogue’s next-door neighbor is Netzach Israel, a rabbinical seminary.
