Probe Started into Cause of Serious Accident in New York Synagogue

An investigation was begun here today into the cause of the collapse of a portion of the ceiling in a New York synagogue yesterday which seriously injured two women during Passover services.

Tons of plaster collapsed yesterday, falling on the women’s section of Yeshiva and Mesivta Zichron Moshe Congregation. Mrs. Gisella Kern, 85, and Mrs. Klonsky, 75, were both injured seriously and remain unconscious in a hospital. Mrs. Sarah Wortzman, 68, was injured less seriously. She was treated at a hospital and sent home.
