Prof. Selig Brodetsky, world Zionist leader, spokesman for British Jewry and brilliant mathematician, was buried today at Willesden Cemetery in London. He died Tuesday at the age of 66.
The funeral cortege halted for two minutes in front of 77 Great Russell Street, headquarters of the World Zionist Organization here, where the late Prof. Brodetsky has spent so much of his life working for the Zionist cause. The funeral service was conducted by British Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie. Among the many mourners were Israel Ambassador and Mrs. Eliahu Elath, representatives of every major Jewish organization in the country and countless Jewish and non-Jewish friends and colleagues.
Among the numerous messages received by the family since his death was one from Israel Premier Moshe Sharett, in behalf of the Israel Government, leading figures of the Jewish Agency and the Israel Parliament.
