Professor Marc Rosenberg, prominent historian and expert in the art of goldsmithing, is dead at Baden-Baden. He was 80 years old. Professor Rosenberg, who taught the history of art at the Technical Academy in Karlsruhe, was a Russian Jew, having been born in Kamenetz, Ukrainia. He was the author of a four-volume work entitled “The Sign of the Goldsmith” and also of a history of the art of goldsmithing. Professor Rosenberg owned a collection of rare specimens of his art. In recent years he had been living at Baden-Baden.
