Professor A. A. Michelson, noted scientist, who is gravely ill here with double pneumonia, continued to hold his own early this morning.
His physicians expressed the hope that the infection will not spread and that he will survive, pointing out at the same time that the crisis has not yet been passed.
Purchase of “The Milwaukee Sentinel.” oldest daily newspaper in Wisconsin, by Paul Block, was announced. “The Sentinel.” which is the only morning newspaper in Milwaukee, was established in 1837.
Mr. Block is owner and publisher of “The Pittsburgh Post-Gazctle,” “The Toledo Blade,” “The Newark Star-Eagle,” “The Brooklyn Standard Union” and “The Duluth Herald.”
