Professor Morris Raphael Cohen will be the guest of honor at a testimonial dinner to be given by his students and friends on the occasion of his twenty-fifth year on the faculty staff of the College of the City of New York. The dinner will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Hotel Astor.
Professor Cohen is widely recognized as one of the foremost of living philosophers. Many of the most eminent philosophers, educators and jurists in America are expected to be present at the dinner.
Among the speakers will be Chief Justice Benjamin N. Cardozo, Dean Roscoe Pound, Alvin Johnson, Dr. John H. Finley and colleagues of Professor Cohen. Professor Felix Frankfurter, of the Harvard faculty, will officiate as toastmaster.
The General Committee, of which Professor Frankfurter is chairman, includes Prof. Felix Adler, Walter Lippman, Judge Julian W. Mack, Edwin Arlington Robinson. Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Dean Frederick J. E. Woodbridge.
