Professor Fernand Vidal, noted Jewish surgeon, died here at the age of 67.
Recently Dr. Vidal was the object of an attack by the chauvinistic paper “Ami du People,” which accused him of operating when it was unnecessary, is order to secure a fee. At that time former Prime Minister Herriot issued an official communique defending Dr. Vidal.
