The Tarbuth cultural organization has opened a teacher training; course to meet the shortage of qualified Hebrew teachers in many small Jewish communities. Forty advanced students are at present studying Hebrew, Yiddish, Jewish history, pedagogy and sociology in preparation for assuming teaching poets.
