An important promotion awaited Brigadier Federick H. Kisch, chief engineer of the British Eighth Army who was killed in action when a mine exploded on the Tunisian front, it was learned here today.

The entire Hebrew press today publishes lengthy black-framed articles on Brigadier kisch, emphasizing that he was the first British Jew to become a Palestine citizen. The Zionist flag hung at half-mast today over the premises of the Jewish Agency. Kisch was a member of the executive of the World Zionist organization from 1923 to 1931.
