The erection of a statue to Jules E. Mastbaum, Jewish philanthropist who died last week, is being considered, it was revealed today by Albert M. Greenfield, chairman of the building committee of the Federation of Jewish Charities.
In a letter to W. Maurice Steppacher, president of the Jewish Convalescent Ilome, which is to be built at Willow Grove, Mr. Greenfield states that a number of individuals have offered to subscribe to a fund for such a purpose.
Perpetuation of the memory of Mr. Mastbaum in another form by naming the Convalescent Home for him was suggested by Mr. Greenfield in his letter.
The new B’nai Brith lodge organized at Wynnefield, a suburb, has been named the Jules E. Mastbaum Lodge, and an annual golf tournament to be played at the Philmont Country Club is to be called the Jules E. Mastbaum Tournament.
