A German film about Israel, judged by the few here who have seen it as “possibly the very best ever made about Israel.” is going to be kept off the Israel cinema market due to the many protests voiced in this country recently against the showing of German-made movies.
The film which had its second screening here last night–behind closed doors, to a select audience–is called “Paradise and Pressure Cooker.” It is a documentary running an hour. The film will have its first public showing in Germany. Due to the opposition to German films here, the producers have cancelled plans to dub the film in Hebrew for showing in Israel.
