Karl-Heinz Heubaum, of Lochham, principal distributor in postwar Germany of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” forgery, has been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment here for libelling members of the government. Heubaum, who succeeded in obtaining a retrial of a previous conviction on the same charge, has appealed the new conviction.
One of the leading anti-Semites in Western Germany, Heubaum recently began publication of a new weekly, the “German Echo,” He attained considerable notoriety some time ago when it was discovered that he had been elected to the first Bundestag under a false identity.
