A Bialik memorial meeting was held Monday evening at the Community Center here under the combined auspices of the local Zionist District, Senior Hadassah and the Poale Zion.
Elihu David Stone of Boston, vice-president of the Zionist Organization of America and president of the New England Zionist Region, sketched the life of the poet, the epoch in which he appeared and the influence he had on modern Zionism. The chairman of the evening was Alter Boyman, president of the Poale Zion, who told of Bialik’s influence upon the Jewish youth in Russia during the early years of the present century.
