Jack Skirball, educational director of Fox Films Corporation, speaking on “Motion Pictures Censorship and the Public” at a meeting of the Sisterhood of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun yesterday afternoon, declared the public has the responsibility to demand good pictures.
“In response to recent agitation,” he said, “the motion picture producers have became much more meticulous about their pictures.”
Officers for the new year were elected and were installed by Dr. Israel Goldstein. They are: Mrs. B. J. Levy, president; Mrs. W. C. Hurwitz, vice-president; Mrs. L. Schlechter, treasurer; Mrs. S. J. Goldberg, corresponding secretary, and Mrs. R. Newman, recording secretary.
