Our Pure Food section accepts for publication only advertisements of such products and food establishments as have furnished satisfactory proof regarding their statements of standard and quality.
With reference to Kashruth (osbervance of the Jewish Dietary Laws) we believe it justified, since a large number of our people adhere to these Dietary Laws, to publish the facts made known to us when an article is advertised as being Kosher. The name of the authority vouchsafing the accuracy of the advertiser’s statement, therefore, will be published in each individual case. The organizations whose endorsements are frequent are abbreviated as follows:
Agudah—(Agudath Ha-Rabonim)
Degel—(Degel Ha-Rabonim)
O. K.—(O.K. Laboratories—a rabbinically acknowledged laboratory)
Union—(Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America)
Vaad—(Vaad Ha-Rabonim)
