Queen Elizabeth, in a rare appearance to bid farewell to a foreign diplomat, attended a dinner last night tendered by the Israel Embassy to Israel Ambassador Gideon Rafael in connection with his departure for Israel.
Other notables present included Vice-Premier Albert Lilar, Minister of State Camille Huysmans. Premier Gaston Eyskens was unable to attend because of the death of his mother. The Vice-Premier cited Belgium’s friendship for Israel and the admiration of the people of Belgium for the aspirations and accomplishments of the people of Israel.
