(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

One hundred and forty Jewish families from Kurdestan and Mesopotamia are at present stranded in Bagdad, unable to proceed to Palestine, for which they had started out, owing to the fact that permits to enter Palestine have not been issued to them.

Lieutenant – Commander Kenworthy questioned the Colonial Secretary in the House of Commons today, as to the reason for the failure of the Palestine Government to issue permits to the stranded Jewish families in Bagdad. All of the stranded families sold their entire property before leaving their homes, and they are in possession of sufficient means. The delay however, is very costly, as it drains their resources.
