Chief Rabbi Schloma Aronson of Tel Aviv, father of Boris Aronson, the well-known American artist who designed and painted the decorations for the play “Awake and Sing” now playing in New York, died here last night at the age of seventy-three.

Chief Rabbi Aronson came to Palestine from Russia after the Communist Revolution. His son, Boris, who now resides in New York, is a widely known painter and stage decorator. His settings are to be seen in New York this season in three Broadway productions.
