Fifty years in the Rabbinate of Rabbi Aaron M. Ashinsky will be celebrated publicly Tuesday evening April 2, at the Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. here. This event will also mark the golden wedding anniversary of Rabbi and Mrs. Ashinsky.
Rabbi Ashinsky is known to Jews in America, Canada and Europe. He is active in American-Jewish life and is one of the pioneers of the Zionist movement in America and the founder of the Zionist movement in Canada. When Rabbi Ashinsky arrived in this country in 1886 there were only four orthodox rabbis in the United States.
