Rabbi Bernard H. Ziskind of the Tifereth Israel Synagogue of New Bedford offered the prayer in the Legislature here when Representatives reopened their session in the State House.
It was said that Rabbi Ziskind is the first spiritual leader in New Bedford to receive this invitation from the legislature.
