Samuel H. Gordon, veteran of five years of domestic and overseas service with the National Jewish Welfare Board, has been named general secretary of the newly-established World Federation of YMEA’s and Jewish Community Centers.
To carry out the Federation’s objectives of providing technical and professional guidance to Jewish communities seeking to improve and expand existing Jewish Community Centers or to develop such centers, Rabbi Gordon left for Europe this week. He will make his headquarters in London in the offices of the Association for Jewish Youth, British member of the World Federation.
