Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, of New York, will be guest speaker here May 9 at the opening of the campaign for the Jewish Welfare Fund, of which the United Jewish Appeal, of which he is a co-chairman, will be the largest single beneficiary. The campaign will open with a dinner at Temple Emanuel. Preceding this, he will address a luncheon meeting of leading members of the community.
The next evening Rabbi Wise will be featured speaker at the opening of the United Jewish Appeal in Kansas City.
