Rabbi Joseph Kahanemann, a Talmudic scholar who once served as a deputy in the Lithuanian parliament, died in the religious township of Bnai Brak today at the age of 80. Rabbi Kahanemann headed the Ponevez yeshiva in Lithuania before World War II.
