Rabbi S. Felix Mendelsohn was reelected president of the Chicago Rabbinical Association at the first meeting of the year.

This is the second year that Rabbi Mendelsohn, who is the spiritual leader of Temple Beth Israel, will head Chicago’s rabbis. Rabbi Abraham L. Lassen of Congregation B’nai Zion was named vice-president. Rabbi Harry Z. Zwelling of Congregation Anshe Emet was named secretary and Joseph Stolz, rabbi-emeritus of Isaiah Israel, was chosen honorary president for life of the association.

The organization was formed nearly four decades ago by the late Bernard Felsenthal and is the only rabbinical body in the middle west including representatives of reform, orthodox and conservative Judaism among its members.
