Rabbi Samuel Rosenblatt of Beth Tfiloh Congregation in Baltimore, author of various scholarly volumes, had a private audience with Pope Plus XII at the Pontiff’s summer home, Castel Gondalfo.
During the audience, the Pope mentioned that he knew that Dr. Rosenblatt, teacher of Semitic languages the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, had in his class there two prelates now attached to the Vatican’s Biblical Institute. Rabbi Rosenblatt will proceed to Israel for a visit as special representative of the Mizrachi. He is president of the Baltimore Mizrachi.
