Rabbi Itzhak Silman of Yanovo, well-known Orthodox leader of Lithuania, died here today. Rabbi Silman was about fifty years old. He was known as one of the most learned rabbis and active Jewish communal workers in Lithuania. Rabbi Silman was a prominent member of the “Agudath Ha’rabonim” or Orthodox Rabbis’ Federation, of Lithuania.
