Rabbi Abram Simon, former president of the Central Conference of America Rabbis, has been decorated with the Order of Honor of the German Red Cross. The decoration was conferred by the German Ambassador, Baron Ago Maltzan. Rabbi Simon served nine months as a captain in the Red Cross.
A similar honor was recently conferred upon Emile Berliner, noted Jewish inventor of this city.
