Rabbi Jacob Bienenfeld, recently acquitted of conspiracy charges in connection with his charity organization, yesterday instituted a suit against Rudy Vallee and his attorney, former magistrate Hyman Bushel. Summons in the suit was served on Bushel yesterday.
Jacques Buitenkant, counsel to Rabbi Bienenfeld, said that the complaint which he will serve in the near future charges malicious prosecution, false arrest, slander and libel.
The suit arose out of the arrest of Rabbi Bienenfeld and his son, Myron, last July on charges of soliciting a seventy-four dollar donation from Valle on false pretenses. The two were exonerated of the charges on Special Sessions Court two weeks ago.
