Suggestion that the moral standards of motion pictures be supervised by a joint committee composed of representatives of the industry, the public and the clergy is contained in a statement issued yesterday by Dr. Sidney E. Goldstein, leader of the Jewish groups in the inter-faith crusade against indecency and obscenity in cinematic productions.
Dr. Goldstein hastens to point out that the Jewish groups “do not encourage censorship but they must insist upon sanitation.”
