Rabbi Warren Goldstein was chosen as the next chief rabbi of South Africa. The first South African-born man to hold the post, Goldstein will succeed Cyril Harris, who is retiring, on Jan. 1, 2005. Goldstein, 32, was ordained in 1996 at the Yeshiva Gedola in Johannesburg.
