Rabbi Samuel Isaiah Weiss was appointed assistant secretary of the Religious Reconstruction Fund Committee at a meeting held at the Jewish Center, 131 West Eighty-sixth street.
Rabbi Weiss will visit congregations in New York City and vicinity to acquaint the Jewish community with the work of the committee in giving aid to synagogues, Yeshivas and Talmud Torahs through the creation of an interest-free loan fund. Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein is chairman of the group and Morris Engelman is secretary.
