Memorial services for the late Marshal Pilsudski were held Sunday by the Degel Harobbonim at the Warsaw Synagogue, 58 Rivington Street, it was announced yesterday by Elozor Gartenhouse, president of the organization. Speakers included Joel Halpern, the Brijaner rebbe, boyhood friend of Marshal Pilsudski’s successor, General Edward Rydz-Smigly, and Polish Consul General Matushinski. A message was read from the Polish Ambassador at Washington. More than 2,000 attended the services.
