Dr. Zerach Warhaftig, Religious Affairs Minister, issued a worldwide appeal today to rabbis to unite in a “supreme effort” to help Israel in its current crisis. He urged the rabbis to organize meetings, proclaim fast and prayer days, “for it is a time of trial for Jacob.”
