Racial Prejudice Hinders Employment of Aliens Church Conference Hears

Unemployment as the greatest problem affecting the alien as a result of discrimination and racial prejudice, was discussed here last night at a conference on “The Christian’s Responsibility Toward the Alien” held in the Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas under the auspices of the Committee on Emigres of the Greater New York Federation of Churches. George L. Warren, executive secretary of the President’s Advisory Committee for Political Refugees, speaking on this problem, pointed out that there was no law against the employment of aliens in industry except in secret defense processes. Other speakers all emphasized the loyalty of most aliens to America.
